Entertaiment is a form of amusement or recreation that stimulates the brain to realease seratonin and dopamine. It can give a sense of euphoria or pleasure that takes us to another world where we forget all our problems and wish the experience would never end.
Entertainment often hits on topics that the mind was evolved to deeply react to, such as backstabbing and murder, and it can be a good source of morale in some cases. This is why the story of Scheherazade, a woman in the Persian professional storytelling tradition who told stories to save her own life, has inspired a number of orchestral works by composers like Rimsky-Korsakov, Ravel and Szymanowski, and was also made into a film and an innovative video game.
